The Embassy of Japan in South Sudan hosted the Japan’s National Day Reception in celebration of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan’s 82nd birthday in the capital Juba. We had the pleasure of the company of Dr. Martin Elia Lomuro, the Honourable Cabinet Affairs Minister, as our Guest of Honour, in addition to more than 200 guests from the Government of South Sudan, diplomatic missions, and international organizations with whom we work closely on a daily basis. To top the occasion off, three members of the Japan’s Self-Defence Forces Contingent at UNMISS had a presentation of percussion Wa-daiko music from their home region, Kyushu, adding to the Japanese hospitality we demonstrated with kimono and sake.
