On 5 December, the Embassy of Japan in South Sudan hosted the Japan’s National Day Reception in celebration of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan’s 84th birthday in Juba. We had the pleasure of the company of Hon. Sophia Pal Gai, the Honourable Minister of Water Resouces and Irrigation, as our Guest of Honour, in addition to around 200 guests from the Government of South Sudan, diplomatic missions, and international organizations with whom we work closely on a daily basis. Besides speeches by Ambassador and the Honourable Minister, the Embassy staff sang national anthems of both Japan and South Sudan. We also provided Japanese quisine as well as Japanese wine, sake for our distinguished guests.
